Countdown Traffic Lights

In a prior post I mentioned some of the things the CHINESE do better than we do. One of the most basic and helpful is the countdown traffic timer. Though these pictures are off the net (not in China) they illustrate the point. These are common place in China (especially the top one) but rare in the United States. As a matter of fact they are commonplace in South America as well. Let's forget for a moment that people race through red lights here as if they were colorblind, chipmunks on steroids......THESE LIGHTS ARE EXCELLENT.
