I'm trying hard not to make an ass of myself, so I've been reading and asking a lot of questions about the culture. When you are invited to dinner at someones house, it's proper to bring a small gift. Here's my lame attempt when I went to Yang's place. A box of Dove Chocolates. I always thought Dove made soap? Maybe I gave him soap? That would be an awkward gift....a box of soap. - - Ya gotta love the little bow at the top, I'm so damn classy!
