That’s my name, spelled in Chinese. At the top is simplified (Can you imagine what NOT-Simplified is like ;) and below is PinYin (the roman character translation that was adopted in 1979). The words are pronounced Aye DUH Huah. I still don’t understand how they write Chinese…..it’s even harder when they write quickly in script because you can hardly tell apart one character from another. It’s a beautiful language, but in my opinion, not a very practical one. But who am I to disagree with 1.3 BILLION people.Friday, January 12, 2007
