We'll, here's a picture of my not-so-humble abode. I know you expected a shack in the hills but it is actually quite comfortable. This complex is known as Mayflower Gardens and is a gated community across the road from my job. It is a very good place to live and has a variety of shops within walking distance on premises. It is probably the best housing in the area. Usually I would be disappointed not to live “like the locals”, but a lot of the surrounding area is very rundown and the buildings are of poor quality (Even though Shunde is one of the wealthier neighborhoods in China). If I’m staying for five months I prefer this situation.
