Hello Moto

This is another photo from the neighborhood with the street vendors. The interesting thing is how crazy they are here about cell phones. The cell phone is usually one of the few electronic devices that they purchase. Most do not own MP3 players or Walkman. Besides a TV and some cooking tools (electric stove / rice cooker) I have not seen many other electronics in the apartments of my friends here. Maybe this is why they have such a variety of cell phones. The main vendor here is “China Mobile.” In any commercial area you see a “China Mobile” store on every block. In this picture, behind the vendor with the cart, it actually reads “China Telecom”. The area has very basic housing….the type of housing that you would probably not see anywhere in the United States. But even in these conditions there are several cell phone stores.
