28 Freakin hours!!!! TWENTY-EIGHT. That is how much time passed between me leaving my house for LaGuardia and my arrival in my new apartment. Add the fact that I only slept for 2 hours the night before the trip (Jan 1st)….AND the fact that the night BEFORE that was New Years Eve, and you can understand the condition I was in. Some people can go through this experience and still look like supermodels. I, on the other hand, must have looked like I just got shat on.
Luckily, I got some R&R on the flight thanks to my lovely Austrian seat-neighbor Nina who shared her sleeping pills with me and the complimentary alcoholic beverages served during the flight.
